Summertime!

Summer begins in 19 days and a lot comes with it. Mount Trashmore Park, off of Edwin Drive and Holland Road, becomes extremely active. Ice Cream trucks become as prominent as birds chirping in the morning. Thankfully you live in an apartment community where you don’t have to begin mowing your lawn. Let’s not forget the kids are out of school for summer vacation and the college students that come back home with the end of the spring semester. They’re not the only ones coming back to Virginia Beach, so are tourists. If you’re familiar with the area you’ll begin to see people from all over vacationing here. For those who love amusement parks, check out Busch Gardens and Water Country USA, in Williamsburg, which are now open. If those seem too far, there’s Ocean Breeze Waterpark next to Motorworld, and down the street from Adventure Park, off of General Booth Boulevard in Virginia Beach.

Did we mention the Veterans United Home Loans Ampitheater (boy that’s a mouthful) formerly known as Farm Bureau Live The ampitheater is where all the concerts play across the summer (and there are a ton). Of course there’s First Landing State Park if you want to enjoy nature and hike a little. This area get’s pretty humid but you’ll love that we live so close to the Atlantic Ocean. The weather becomes warm enough to finally enjoy the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. There’s so much to do at the beach from riding beach cruisers along the boardwalk to enjoying the night life out there. Summer begins in 19 days and we can’t wait!
